Food was not that great. Our waitress was rude and didn’t seem to want to deal with us. She was aggravated that we came in during the time they were transitioning from breakfast to lunch and made a smart remark about us wanting dessert stating “i have 3 other table to take care of” we made sure to tell her we were in no rush.. the couple behind us was making rude remarks about the fact i had tattoos and my 16 month old was loud. Definitely won’t be back.
Shout out to Sherry of Kountry Kitchen for telling us to go to McDonalds. Thanks for the great advice! We'll be doing that permanently and forgoing your high prices, long waits and poor service.

Becky Let’s get one thing straight! I never spoke to you at all, you were not even in our restaurant. Your boyfriend trespassed past a sign that says no employees beyond this point. Comes into our kitchen as busy as we are without permission and starts on a rant about our prices. I am a very nice person but he pushed me to my limits today by coming in to our kitchen on a rant. Mediocre food, at least my order was. Was told I could not order fries, as the hash brown patty on my burger was considered my "potato"; when my order arrived, they gave me potato chips. I'm guessing either the hash brown patty or the potato chips weren't made of potatoes? Oh well. Living and learning something new in Thurmont....
Over charged our take out and charged for wrapping
I will never frequent Kountry Kitchen again. Overpriced and our waitress was rude. I bought jumbo shrimp � and instead of cocktail sauce I asked for ranch and was charged for it. Absolutely ridiculous.
Came in part of a table of 4. Two couples came in after us. 2 waitresses working, neither said hello. Both attended the tables that came after us. They both saw us walk in before the other tables but neither one came to take our orders. We got up and left.
Some stuff they have is fabulous like the corn fritters and soup or blueberry pancakes, but they have too much variety on their menu to keep it all fresh tasting. This last time I had roast beef with stuffing. Gravy was salty, the beef was average and the stuffing was little hard chunks. Also their Square tables are small for four people but they're okay for 2. One last thing, don't order a vanilla shake. Undrinkable glob of grittyness without taste. Service was good and friendly.
