From my first visit I felt like I was being treated professionally by a close friend. Dr. Mahanor explained her diagnosis and her recommended actions. My surgical experience was superior from start to finish--once again detailed explanations at every step. I was in the hands of a skilled surgical team led by Dr Mahanor. As the title of my review succinctly states: Doctor Mahanor is Personable and, above all, PROFESSIONAL!!
I had my VAD port removed after 6 years, and full remission from cancer. My anxiety was thru the roof. Dr. James was patient with all my nervous questions, engaging, and kind. He communicated everything clearly, asked if I had questions, and totally put me at ease. There's so much that is unpleasant around cancer treatment, and it makes each kindness and competent action that much more profound. Dr. Mahanor has followed a developing carotid artery occlusion for me for several years, which recently warranted the placement of a stent. I am home from surgery and recovery this morning, with very little discomfort, a huge sense of relief and a sense of clarity between my ears that is beyond welcome. I cannot recommend Dr. Mahanor highly enough. She is a brilliant surgeon, which everyone will tell you. She is also a wonderful human being and a very caring practitioner. It’s not that common a combination. The. Best.
