Doctor Phillips diagnosed my foot wrong told gave me an Achilles lengthing on one leg destroyed a perfectly healthy tendon and now I can’t walk for years after I had Charcot foot and he diagnosed me as equinius. He’s supposed to specialize in neurological foot disorders and didn’t even catch mine and I never walked on my tip toes that surgery should never of been an option he convinced me I would’ve had to get it with my bunion surgery or else the bunion would stay WRONG he’s incompetent and doesn’t know how to care for me
Lahey Hospital Burlington, Ma. Dr Welch is very smart but lacks a bedside manner. Dr Welch came in the treatment room clearly rushed and unprepared. It didn’t seem like he had read my medical summary. He seems to arrive at a treatment strategy by catching the patient in a mistake. The patient doesn’t know the medical terms so that approach is not the most helpful for the patient Dr relationship. To add insult to injury I was scheduled to have a series of test that I just had one hour before seeing the doctor. I’m not sure wh... read more
Dr. Phillips is a very caring doctor. This review is for his staff, which does affect the quality of care. Just two days after I had surgery with Dr. Phillips, I could not get a return call from anyone, even the residents. What if I had had a serious complication? The same was true in the lead-up to my surgery. I would leave five messages and get no return call. The front-desk staff sometimes give (incorrect) medical advice since you can't get in touch with a doctor. Because of this I was very uncomfortable choosing Dr. Phil... read more
This doctor feels he has the knowledge to DENY my bilateral mastectomy based on the MRI. The MRI IS CLEAR WITH IN BOTH but I choose to only have a biopsy on one breast due to trying to proceed with the surgery and not putting it off. After reviewing his credentials I don’t feel he is qualified to make that call. I don’t see how a vascular or cardiovascular person has the ability to make the call on a breast cancer diagnosis! I sure as hell wouldn’t call a GI doctor for a broken bone!!
Same as other respondents. Wait very long in exam room. Talks too fast. Doesn't listen.
Because of a bleeding vein in my leg, I was told I would need to have the main vein removed to take pressure off of the bad vein. When I went in for the procedure, the first thing I noticed was blood stained sheets which I asked them to please change. Half way through the procedure, he stopped to discuss his weekend plans with a nurse who barged in. Stopping the procedure, this cause a burn to my vein which later got infected. I came close to losing my leg. Not impressed with his work ethics.
Felt like drive thru dr. Didn't explain anything. Seemed like its no big deal for him. Had to watch YouTube to find out about procedure. Been a year now and I have to do something....getting 2nd opinion!
