Just wanted to come on here and give a quick shout out to this Keyfood. I ran in here to get some olive oil and tea packets before I got lunch. I walked in here and went to the back where I knew the oil isle was close to and came across an area you could get hot plates from. I decided to look through the hot plates and got pork chops with rice and beans and some sauteed carrots with brussel sprouts. This has been my local supermarket for a long time, but lately they've fallen off and the meat is spoiled. I cannot trust to buy any whole chickens here. Chicken should not smell bad and you can smell it through the plastic. It has happened several times, especially with the Perdue chicken and I can't trust them anymore.
This Key Food on 164th Street has a good location, but a smallish parking lot. Inside the store is of a deceptive size, particularly in the rear of the store, where the aisles' ends tend to zigzag a bit, making you feel like just when you have hit the end of the store, there's a couple of more aisles. I found the store's layout to be a bit haphazard at points, with things that in another store would be in one place, on a completely different aisle here, despite being in a similar category. Nice area Key Food. Looks small but carries everything you need. Deli & bakery goods are always fresh and delicious. Store is clean. Parking can be rough at times(small parking lot) & cashiers could be a little more friendly and happy.
The beef and chicken are often spoiled. I think they might be changing the dates on the packaging or something. Not really sure but it’s happened to me too many times with meat from this location to be a coincidence
